Cruïlla Festival cover version competition
The winner will have the opportunity to play during this edition of the festival, which will be held in the Parc del Fòrum from the 10th to the 12th of July
Over the three days from the 10th to the 12th of July in the Parc Fòrum the Cruïlla Festival will offer an eclectic programme of more than 40 bands and artists of diverse genres, including Ms. Lauryn Hill, Jamie Cullum, Of Monsters and Men, CocoRosie, Franz Ferdinand & Sparks, Los Catarres and Ferran Palau among many others. In addition, your own name may appear as part of this lengthy list! How? For the second year running, Cruïlla has organised a cover version competition in which the winner will have the opportunity to play at the festival.
The competition is open to both bands and solo artists and in order to participate it is necessary to record a video clip of a cover version of your chosen song and upload it to YouTube or Vimeo using hashtag #covercruilla15 or using the application available in the Cruïlla website, and spread the word. A jury consisting of personnel from the festival booking team will decide the winner from the three entries that obtain the most votes on the basis of musical quality and creativity.
The winner will have the golden opportunity to perform for half an hour on the Lounge Estrella Damm stage on Sunday the 12th – an opportunity that is difficult to come by.
Closing date for cover version entries is the 8th of June and the winner will be announced on the 10th.
