‘Cossoc’ in the dance cycle ‘Contemporanis a la Barceloneta’

A new cycle of ‘Contemporanis a la Barceloneta’

The programming for this 2021 focuses especially on flamenco and Andalusian dance.

Next January 21, a new edition of the cycle ‘Contemporanis a la Barceloneta’ returns, a meeting organised by the Barceloneta Civic Centre to show different proposals around dance and body languages. On this occasion, the cycle focuses especially on flamenco and Andalusian-rooted dance with the creations of young talents, who bring new perspectives through modern techniques, research and contemporary pedagogies. The program will begin with Reverberation inside, a video dance film by Cristina Hall and Javier Torres Ridaura, which will be followed by the piece La caída, by Marta Nogal and the dance Baile de histéricas, by Carmen Muñoz.

The program includes other types of appointments, such as an open rehearsal by Vanesa Gálvez “la lírio”, the concert by María la Blanco (included in the Barcelona Districte Cultural) or the choreographic microcomposition workshop with José Manuel Álvarez, of which you can see the presentation of one of the projects being worked on. All this and much more you will find in the program of the cycle, which will end on February 20. In addition, the cycle includes the part of the Quinzena de la dansa program that will take place on March 21.

All activities are free except for the microcreation workshop, which costs 15.50 euros. For all events, you must reserve your ticket and you can do so through the website of the civic centre. More information here.
