The most refreshing activities are held in El Besòs i el Maresme

If what you want this summer is to have fun while cooling off with entertaining activities, head to the El Besòs i el Maresme neighbourhood. The Estiu al Barri (Summer in the Neighbourhood) programme, promoted by the 2015 Neighbourhoods Plan, offers an extensive series of activities for all ages. The main goal is to transform neighbourhood residents’ everyday lives by offering cultural, entertainment and free-time activities different than the ones they’re used to.

All the activities will be held from 25 June to 14 September at different venues in the El Besòs i el Maresme neighbourhood. For example, there will be outdoor films on 6 and 20 August and 10 September at 10 pm, as well as a circus workshop every Wednesday of August and on 4 September at 7 pm. One good activity for getting moving is the Motricity and Memory activity held every Thursday of September on Rambla de Prim. There will also be a huge celebration on Pakistan’s Independence Day with a cultural gathering and community dinner on 14 August at 7 pm. On 13 September, a community gardening session will be held at the Barri Besòs Culture Centre. To close the festivities, on 14 September there will be a parade, concerts and an intercultural dinner to wrap up Summer in the Neighbourhood.
