The Olympic Museum presents a photographic exhibition commemorating the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Games, which were held from 4 to 20 February 2022 in Beijing and Zhangjiakou, in the People's Republic of China. This was the third consecutive time that Asia hosted the Winter Olympic Games, with Beijing becoming the first city to host both the Summer and Winter Games.

Under the motto Together for a Shared Future (precisely the title of this exhibition), the XXIV Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games featured 109 events in 7 sports and 15 disciplines. Athletes from all over the world came together to compete in exciting events such as alpine skiing, ice skating, snowboarding and more. The Games were a testament to the Olympic spirit and passion for sport.

The venues of the Games were spread over three areas: Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou. To ensure adequate infrastructure, major projects were carried out, such as the construction of the Beijing-Zhangjiakou intercity train and the extension of the Beijing underground. These improvements not only facilitated the transportation of athletes and spectators, but also left a lasting legacy for the city and the region.

With an estimated budget of USD 3.9 billion, they were a demonstration of China's commitment to sport and the organisation of high-level international events. The commemorative photo exhibition at the Olympic Museum captures the essence and highlights of these historic Games. Through powerful images, visitors can relive the excitement, dedication and talent of the athletes who participated in this global event.

This exhibition is not only a celebration of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games, but also a further demonstration of China's role in the world of sport.
