Fancy developing an artistic and multimedia project and making it come true at La Mercè 2016?

CreatiFI opens an open call for developing artistic projects (circus, dance, performance, visual arts, etc.), with a technological or multimedia component, that connect multiple scenarios simultaneously and use FIWARE technology.

Barcelona City Council is taking part in CreatiFI, an EU-funded programme that aims to increase the use of FIWARE technologies by professionals from the creative industry, the performing arts and the ICT sector (Information and Communication Technologies).

CreatiFI opens the Creative Ring Challenge (CRC), an excellent opportunity for artists, multimedia creators and ICT professionals who want to develop an artistic project for La Mercè 2016.

Submissions are being accepted until 28 March for artistic projects with a technological or multimedia component that connect multiple scenarios simultaneously. The aim of these projects should to be to improve the experience of citizens of the different city festivals, bringing them closer to the people and the city. FIWARE technology must be used to develop the projects. From all the projects, five finalists will be selected and will receive 25,000 EUR each. Of these, in June 2016 a maximum of two winning projects will be selected, which will receive an additional 25,000 EUR and will be invited to perform their artistic and technological proposal during La Mercè 2016.

I'd love to take part! How can I find out more?

On 7 March at 5 pm there will be an Infoday and networking session at the UPF Auditorium (Tànger Building, Carrer Roc Boronat, 138). The session will explain what is expected from the projects at an artistic and technical level and the challenge set by the programme.
