Charity Gospel for the Future of Haiti

The Cor Carlit Gospel will be putting on a charity concert for the future of Haitian children, organised by the NGO Familias sin fronteras por la infancia.

For many of us, Christmas is one of the best times of the year to be a little more generous towards other people. That’s why many charity events are put on for a range of important causes organised by many institutions. This is the case with the NGO Familias sin fronteras por la infancia which, this year, has prepared the concert No te olvides de Haití (Don’t forget about Haiti) with the Cor Carlit Gospel. The ensemble, directed by Anna Roqué, has been around for over 30 years, bringing this magnificent genre of music to the most important venues around the country. The profits from this performance will all go to towards primary and secondary schools run by the Bresma Foundation, which have been set up in the capital, Port-Au-Prince, and in Castaches, as well as to orphanages in the country that want to give a decent quality of life to unfortunate children. Their slogan, “Don't forget about Haiti” is taken from a comic strip by Forges, created in the wake of the devastating earthquake of 2010, which they've brought back to raise awareness among the general public about the protests going on in recent days in the Caribbean country.

The Cor Carlit Gospel Concert will be on 13 December at 8 pm in Basílica de Santa Maria del Pi. This is a great initiative to help the poorest nation in the Americas to slowly but surely re-establishing the basic rights to healthcare, nutrition and education.

Tickets cost €12, and there is also the option to buy “row 0” tickets, to make a donation even if you won't be attending. You can buy them at the ticket office or on the Entradium website.
