The Pedralbes Royal Palace Gardens Festival 2015 kicks off
The 3rd edition of the music festival will be held in the palace gardens from the 8th of June to the 10th of July and will feature artists the likes of Bob Dylan, Goran Bregovic, Paul Weller and Sara Baras
For the third year running the gardens of the Pedralbes Royal Palace will host a music festival featuring iconic names and surprising international proposals as part of a varied and exclusive programme.
The festival will kick off on the 8th of June with British duo Pet Shop Boys, veritable icons of electro-pop. The weekend of the 13th and 14th of June will be the turn of Goran Bregovich, with his Balkan music ensemble, and Ana Belén and Víctor Manuel, the Madrid duo who have just recorded Canciones Regaladas 30 years after their previously release.
Thursday the 18th of June will see the turn of British singer songwriter Jessie J, who will visit Barcelona for the first time, and, on the following day, the emblematic Cuban outfit La Buena Vista Social Club will say goodbye to Barcelona with their Adiós Tour.
Other artists to perform in the festival will include Spandau ballet, Cadiz-born flamenco dancer and choreographer Sara Baras, jazz diva Melody Gardot and British pop-rock icon, Paul Weller.
On Saturday the 4th of July the festival will host the legendary Bob Dylan, still going strong at 74 years old, in a venue that will also see performances by American singer songwriter Anastacia, Australian duo Angus and Julia Stone and versatile singer songwriter Miguel Poveda. The clever and refined pop sounds of Mika will close the festival on the 10th of July.
Other additions to the festival include a family music day, Minimúsica, on the 28th of June, the Village Stage, the platform for the festival's fourteen opening acts, and, on concert days, the Torres Brothers, who will offer exclusive culinary tasting sessions for which special tickets are required.
As a further novelty this year the SoundEat! event will take place in the gardens from 12 noon to 10 pm on Saturday the 27th of June and will feature performances by a selection of bands and djs and a host of interesting culinary offerings in the form of food trucks.
