‘Les oblidades’

Dance, theatre and music by women at La Pedrera

The programme includes shows like Quatre octaves i mitja, Les oblidades and Companyes, plus chats with influential figures.

Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera is deeply committed to spreading culture at its space designed by Antoni Gaudí. In this case, the foundation aims to reflect on contemporary creative arts and raise awareness of the female talent on Barcelona stages. So, it is presenting the series “La Pedrera en clau de dona”, with three pieces programmed over three weeks in three different disciplines: dance, theatre and music.

The series will be held on Tuesdays at 7 pm from 22 October to 7 November at La Pedrera. On 22 October, it will be the play Les oblidades by Lara Díez Quintanilla, preceded by a conversation between director Carme Portaceli and actress Glòria Ribera, moderated by journalist Aida Pallarès. The 29 October session will be a concert, with Joina presenting her debut album Companyes. The debate prior to the performance will feature Raquel García-Tomás and the members of the group Roba Estesa Gemma Polo and Anna Sardà, moderated by journalist Mònica Pagès. During all of the conversations, playwright Raquel Tomàs will do visual storytelling.The last piece will be the dance performance Quatre octaves i mitja by Mònica Muntaner and Rosa Múñoz. The show will be accompanied by a conversation between choreographer Àngels Margarit and programmer Cristina Alonso, moderated by author M. Àngels Cabré.
