‘Si los martes fueran viernes’, improv performances at Nau Bostik
Artists who don’t know each other will come together and stage a musical album for the first time.
Si los martes fueran viernes (If Tuesdays were Fridays) has already become a recurring show on the dance and performance art circuit in Barcelona. This is a stage platform for instantaneous compositions that brings together professional improv artists in different settings in the city to create completely spontaneous and unique pieces. At the end of May they wanted to come back with a new event: ‘Chapter #42 – The Sophists’. Once again, this will be an unparalleled combination of performers who, although they’ve never met before, will come together to stage a musical album by an artist that is ambiguous from start to finish. This strange experiment has been a success in other editions and part of its charm comes from the fact that the participants have to connect quickly and on a really deep level despite never having worked together before.
The performances will be from 28 May to 27 June at 8 pm at Nau Bostik, a stage they have used on other occasions. This space stands out because it’s a pioneer on the cultural scene in the Sagrera neighbourhood. The goal is to cover the need for spaces to host cultural events, opening up to local residents so that they can enjoy all kinds of artistic productions.
