Summer Concerts

Fusion, blues and singer-songwriters in the gardens of the Art Nouveau Site

The Summer Concerts Series at Sant Pau are back, this time with Dani Nel·lo, Marcos Valle, Gerard Quintana and Clara Peya.

One of the most iconic places in Barcelona is the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site, and we are fortunate to be able to enjoy its beautiful facilities in the summertime with outdoor performances through its Summer Concerts series, which brings major artists to share their music with us in the midst of an idyllic setting: the gardens. As you can see, everyone who performs onstage is engaged in very individual projects, each different from the other. It’s a great way to combine unique music in a unique heritage site in the summer.

The concerts will be every Thursday from 4 to 25 July at 9 pm. On the first evenings, the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site will welcome Dani Nel·lo accompanied by his Saxofonistas Salvajes; they will survey the pieces that they believe are essential to understanding the history of the sax. The Brazilian guitarist and composer Marcos Valle will visit us on 11 July with a combination of styles which range from samba to rock, with a bit of disco, funk and psychedelic thrown in. On 18 July, Sant Pau is welcoming Gerard Quintana, one of the most famous Catalan musicians who will present his show Intocables (Untouchables), a compilation of songs which have been banned over the years all around the world. Finally, on Thursday 25 July, Clara Peya will close the series by introducing us to the world of Stomach, her new project which combines piano virtuosity with musical experimentation.

Tickets for each of the concerts cost €18. You can buy them at the box office or on the Sant Pau website.
