School Allotments

Training course for schools wishing to start a school allotment, whether directly in the ground or in pots or tables. At these sessions, participants will acquire the foundations and practical knowledge to start working on an allotment and get the most out of it for educational purposes.

This intensive course, which includes both theory and practice, also includes support and advice during the allotment creation process. The sessions are supplemented with a set of short videos with the basics on starting and maintaining an allotment, as well as resources provided through the Environmental Education Documentation Service (SDEA) and on social media. Finally, in the third term of the school year, taking advantage of the spring season, a final session will be held at one of the participating schools to share and collect the yields of the allotments, create a space for assessing everything that has been learned and make improvements for the following year.

Registration for academic year 23-24 is currently closed.
