Educational toolkits

The SDEA has various educational toolkits with materials to address different topics with students: climate change, sustainable food, air quality and mobility, different kinds of energy and more. Each toolkit comes with adapted materials and resources so that different school-year levels can work on the activities.

Bellow you’ll find all the information you need about the educational toolkits.

In case of loss or damage to the materials, the responsible center, entity, or person must cover the cost of replacement.

Biodiversity toolkit
- Composition: 1 suitcase, with wheels and made of canvas
- Dimensions: 32x34 x73 cm
- Main contents: forest animal plush toys, bird calls, substrate samples, footprint molds, activity cards, board games, a forest songbook, books, and a pedagogical guide
- Target audience: early childhood education (0–3 years)

Energy toolkit
- Composition: 5 hard-shell, wheeled suitcases.
- Suitcase dimensions: one suitcase of 43x27x61 cm; one suitcase of 70x32x27 cm; three suitcases of 44x28x39 cm.
- Main contents: various materials for working on the principles of energy efficiency, such as: magnets, water pumps, compasses, light bulbs, wind turbines, measuring devices (wattmeter, household electricity meter, luxmeter), photovoltaic panels, books, and board games, among others. Includes a pedagogical guide.
- Target audience: early childhood education (second cycle) and primary education (initial, middle, and upper cycles).

Marine biodiversity toolkit
- Composition: 3 large, wheeled, hard-shell suitcases.
- Suitcase dimensions: 62x44x36 cm (1), 55x67x77 cm (2) and 44x67x28,5 cm (3).
- Main contents: stories and books, guides and identification sheets, materials for observation and experimentation, games and toys, posters, and a pedagogical guide.
- Target audience: early childhood education 0-3 years (1), early childhood education 3-6 years, primary education 6-12 years (2) and secondary education 12-16 years (3).

Sustainable menstruation toolkit
- Composition: 1 handled case.
- Suitcase dimensions: 30x41,5x20 cm.
- Main contents: various menstruation materials (menstrual underwear, menstrual cup, etc.), thermal bag, inspection materials, books, and a pedagogical guide.
- Target audience: upper primary education, secondary education and high school.

Climate change toolkit
- Composition: 1 large, wheeled, canvas suitcase.
- Suitcase dimensions: 65x42x53 cm.
- Main contents: measuring instruments, board games, animal and plant figures, books, materials for making shadows, and a pedagogical guide.
- Target audience: early childhood education, primary education, and secondary education.

Sound and noise toolkit

Water quality analysis backpack
- Composition: 1 backpack
- Dimensions: 30 x 14 x 42 cm
- Main contents: different kits to measure water parameters, such as hardness, alkalinity, acidity, phosphates, or nitrates, among others
