The aim of this conference is to analyze the challenges and opportunities posed by the new Regulation of the Immigration Law, approved by Royal Decree 1155/2024, of November 19, and in force since May 20, 2025. This new regulation introduces structural changes in the management of migratory flows, with Spanish society and economy, through a profound revision of residence and work conditions.

The regulation, which develops the Organic Law 4/2000, of January 11, on the rights and freedoms of foreigners in Spain and their social integration, is based on three fundamental pillars: work, training and family. In this conference, we will focus especially on the main legislative developments in the labor field and their impact on the business environment.

In Catalonia, shared competencies and a diverse and internationalized business fabric converge. This context reinforces the importance of a practical and coordinated interpretation of the law, adapted to the realities of the Catalan labor market.
