Eduardo Rojo Torrecilla (Barcelona, 1953), an expert in labour and social security law, he has had an academic career spanning more than four decades.

He has been a lecturer at the Universitat de Barcelona (1976-1993), professor at the Universitat de Girona (1993-2007) and professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2008-2023). During this time, he has taught on several degrees related to Law, Economics and Business Administration and Management, as well as on numerous master's degrees and postgraduate courses.

In the field of research, he has participated in several groups, including the direction of the Research Group on Spanish and Foreign Workers' Rights (DRELATES) at the UAB from 2009 until his retirement in 2023. His research activity has been prolific, and he has published numerous papers and articles on labour issues in general and on employment and immigration policies in particular. He has presented more than 180 papers at conferences and given more than 240 lectures in his field of specialization.

Throughout his career, he has held several university management positions, including that of Dean of the Faculty of Law at the Universitat de Girona (1994-2000) and Department Director at the UdG in Private Law and at the UAB in Public Law and Historical-Legal Sciences.

In addition to his academic work, Rojo has been involved in various professional and social activities. He has been an arbitrator of the Labour Court of Catalonia, director of the Chair of Immigration, Rights and Citizenship at the UdG (2001-2008), director of the Scientific Committee of the Catalan Employment Plan (2006-2008) and is a member of the Editorial Board of the Revista Jurídica de Catalunya.

Since March 2025, he has been President of the Consell Econòmic i Social de Barcelona (CESB), a consultative and debating body with the participation of the city's most representative economic and social organizations
