Cristian Añó Frohlich

Cristian Añó Frohlich (Barcelona, 1969) is a cultural, artistic and community mediator, a cultural manager and a researcher. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Art History (UB) and a master’s in Architecture, Art and Ephemeral Space (UAB). His work has revolved around the relationships between culture, the arts, communities and citizens. He has promoted artistic and cultural projects in the educational, social, healthcare and other fields, and has been involved in cultural mediation and education programmes with cultural institutions like Centre d’Arts de Santa Mònica, Joan Miró Foundation, Centre d’Art de Barcelona, Bauman Lab, Can Felipa and the Centre d’Art de Tarragona, which won the 2012 ACCA award.

In the field of research, he has worked with institutions and organisations like CoNCA, CGLU, ICUB, Museo Nacional Reina Sofia and Fundació Daniel i Nina Carasso. From 2016 to 2022, he participated in the launch of the municipal programme in El Prat de Llobregat called ‘IntersECCions: Educació, Cultura i Comunitat’, and directed its Technical Office. He has authored several texts and served as an editor for specialised publications in this field. Since 2014, he has promoted and directed Polièdrica.cat, a digital site focused on artistic education, cultural, artistic and community mediation, and cultural rights, as well as the print magazine Políedrica Magazín.
