The workshop, The Besòs River: a layer of the city, is coordinated in collaboration with second-year Urbanism students, from the Urbanism Department at the Barcelona School of Architecture who, throughout the exhibition, will be analysing the urban environment of the Besòs river in detail, using a series of 6 maps on a scale of 1:4000. During the workshop, the students and Duae Collective will guide participants in a reinterpretation of these maps that aims to highlight the unique features and the role of the constructed environment, assessing the residential and industrial fabric, the facilities and provisions, the open spaces and the road hierarchy and its infrastructures. This contribution is designed to provide an understanding of the shape of this territory and help establish intervention criteria to improve the quality of life in this urban environment. The result of the workshop will be part of the exhibition.

Date: Saturday 23 February 2019, from 11.30 to 14.00 at Espai Zero.
