Astrid Lozano Villó, born in Barcelona in 1974, has been an English teacher for nearly twenty years. She holds an undergraduate degree in English language and literature from the University of Barcelona (1997) and a master’s degree in English literature from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1999). She is currently pursuing a PhD in English studies at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, focusing on the life and work of American author Shirley Jackson. Lozano Villó is also a photographer and holds a diploma in photography studies from the Catalan Institute of Photography Studies (IEFC).
