Concepción Perea, born in Seville in 1978, holds an undergraduate degree in humanities and a master’s degree in creative writing. Since 2013 she has been the director of the fiction academy Caja de Letras, where she also teaches several courses. Her career spans fiction and non-fiction, including novels such as La corte de los espejos [The Court of Mirrors], La última primavera [The Last Spring] and Conjura de otoño [Autumn Conspiracy], and non-fiction titles such as Simbología del Bestiario [Symbolism of the Bestiary], Misterios y enigmas a través de la pintura [Mysteries and Enigmas in Painting] and Monstruos y demonios en el arte [Monsters and Demons in Art], her latest release this year. She also coordinated the short-story anthology Cuentos desde el otro lado [Tales from the Other Side].
