David Martí, born in Barcelona in 1971, is a film make-up artist and special effects artist. With Estudi DDT SFX, the studio he founded in Barcelona in 1991, he has worked on numerous national and international film productions. In 2006, he and Montse Ribé won the Oscar for Best Make-up for their work in El laberinto del Fauno (Pan’s Labyrinth), as well as a Goya for Best Special Effects. He also won Spanish accolades for the effects in Frágiles (Fragile) and El orfanato (The Orphanage) and for the make-up for La pell que habito (The Skin I Live In).
