Feyleryn (stage name of Eugene Freska, born in Murmansk in 1984) is a producer, composer and lyricist whose creative work draws inspiration from ancient mythology, imaginary worlds, the immersive soundscapes of films and role-playing games and the narrative depth of fantasy literature. His compositions blend centuries-old traditions of medieval and early music with postmodern sounds, oscillating between ‘thunderous heroism’ and ‘reflective ambient’. His latest release is the LP Route to Balladica, which fuses contemporary electronic music with ethereal, romantic melodies.
