Javi Fernández Mata, born in Igualada in 1978, is a writer and technology project manager. He has published short stories in a range of anthologies and has been a finalist or winner in several competitions, with distinctions including an honourable mention from the jury of the Bagaleu Novella Prize for Climate Fiction. The founder and editor of Narranación, a magazine of illustrated short stories, Fernández Mata co-directs and co-hosts the radio show and podcast of the same name, and has also coordinated and hosted literary events. His first novel is L’últim dip [The Last Dip].
