Juan Jacinto Muñoz-Rengel

Juan Jacinto Muñoz-Rengel, born in Malaga in 1974, is the author of novels including La capacidad de amar del señor Königsberg [Mr Königsberg’s Capacity for Love], El gran imaginador [The Great Imaginer], which won the Kelvin Award for Best Novel, El sueño del otro [The Other’s Dream], El asesino hipocondríaco [The Hypochondriac Killer] and the recent La transmigración [The Transmigration]He has also published the essay Una historia de la mentira [translated into English as A History of Lying] and short story collections such as El libro de los pequeños milagros [The Book of Small Miracles], De mecánica y alquimia [Of Mechanics and Alchemy], which won the Ignotus Award for Best Short Story Collection, and 88 Mill Lane. His work has been translated into a dozen languages and published in more than 25 countries. Muñoz-Rengel currently directs the Escuela de Imaginadores in Madrid.
