Mara Faye Lethem
Mara Faye Lethem, born in New York in 1971, is a writer and literary translator working from Catalan and Spanish. Her career has spanned both sides of the Atlantic, in the United States and in Barcelona, where she currently resides. She has translated novels by David Trueba, Albert Sánchez Piñol, Javier Calvo, Pol Guasch, Jaume Cabré, Irene Solà and Max Besora, among others, into English, and her work has appeared in publications such as Granta, The Paris Review and McSweeney’s. She has received numerous accolades, including the Spain–USA Foundation Translation Prize, the Joan B. Cendrós International Prize and the Nota Bene Prize. A Person’s A Person, No Matter How Small is her début novel (published in Catalan as Series boja si no ho fessis and in Spanish as La llegada del bebé X).
