Maria Bohigas
Maria Bohigas, born in Paris in 1969, holds a degree in Catalan language and literature and works as a translator and publisher. For the past twenty years, she has directed Club Editor. Born and educated in Paris, she studied Catalan language and literature at the University of Barcelona. Before becoming a publisher, she worked as a literary translator for fifteen years, with titles including Victor Hugo’s Les Misérables, Honoré de Balzac’s Père Goriot and Lost Illusions and Albert Camus’ The Fall, among others. She has also worked as a publisher in France and Chile, and shares reflections on reading and literature on the blog Cartes elèctriques. In 2019, she received the National Culture Award.
