Pol Gise, the YouTuber who has brought classical gods, creatures and legends back to life
In a world where social media content is boundless, the actor and screenwriter Pol Gise has managed to find his niche, creating YouTube videos for those interested in classical mythology. Though he started creating funny content a decade ago, he has become even more popular in recent years with his easygoing, engaging Salseo Griego (a YouTube series) and Chisme Mitológico (a podcast), which make classical mythology accessible to the general public. This journey has culminated in the literary sphere with the Los mitos eternos trilogy, made up of Hades, el dios menos malo, Hércules, el héroe que no quiso serlo and Sísifo, el hombre que engañó a la muerte, which put a fun spin on mythological stories and have just been published as a single volume (Temas de Hoy-Planeta), which also includes Breve bestiario de la mitología griega. Gise will discuss his passion with another leading Valencian and Catalan folklore content creator: Alfons Pérez Daràs, also known as Malparlat or Alfons Blue.
