Alfons Pérez Daràs, born in Nules in 1991, better known as Malparlat and as @alfonselblue on social media, is a leading figure in the popularisation of Valencian and Catalan folklore, as well as Iberian mythology. He has been creating educational content for years on TikTok and Instagram and hosts the award-winning podcasts Sentit Aràcnid (Cadena SER) and Baix la Lluna. He won the Diafebus Prize (2022) and the Valencian Writers’ Critics’ Prize (2024) for his Aitana Torrent novel series: Aitana Torrent, caçadora d’espantacriatures [Aitana Torrent, Hunter of Bogeymen] and Aitana Torrent i la Cort de la Quarantamaula [Aitana Torrent and the Court of the Quarantamaula].
