The new nursery school is housed in a completely renovated building, with 1,341,34 square metres of floor space, distributed between the ground floor and the first floor. For the moment, the work has only affected part of the building, with a second stage set to bring a music school project. The nursery school involved an investment of 4,173,666 euros.

The nursery school has 104 infants, divided into seven groups: a group of eight infants between four and twelve months old, three groups of twelve toddlers between the ages of one and two, and three groups of nineteen, between the ages of two and three.

The ground floor houses administration and services spaces (a manager’s officer, a staff room, the kitchen, the dining-room, a changing room and more). There’s also a child-rearing space for families; three of the classrooms, each with 60 square metres of space, and a multi-purpose space with 100 square metres of space. The ground floor gives direct access to the playground, which offers 590 square metres of space.

The first floor has four classrooms, each with roughly 50 square metres of floor space, and another multi-purpose room of 60 square metres. There is also a terrace of 45 square metres, connecting with the playground on the ground floor.

The municipal nursey school network grows to 105 centres this year

Between them, there are 8,891 infants up to the age of 3 enrolled at these 105 nursery schools. This means that one in four children in the city up to the age of three are being schooled at municipal nursery schools.
