Recent years, and more so with the pandemic, have seen businesses and organisations introduce significant changes in time management and organisations, combining on-site working and teleworking to facilitate flexible working times and work-life balance. Measures have also been introduced to ensure the right to digital disconnection and a more in-depth approach has been taken to matters such as gender co-responsibility, the reduction of working hours with the same salary, longer maternity and paternity leave, healthy working hours and more.

The Award to the Innovative Company in the Organisation of Time Use is part of the Time Pact, a city agreement promoted by Barcelona City Council and seeking the commitment of municipal bodies and social and economic organisations in the city to act jointly for a more rational and efficient social organisation, respectful towards people’s needs.

Businesses and organisations can present their candidacies for the award up until 16 December in the following categories:

• MICRO: companies with less than 10 workers.
• SMALL: companies from 10 workers and up to 50.
• MEDIUM: companies with more than 50 workers and up to 250.
• LARGE: companies with more than 250 workers.

The jury is made up of experts and representatives from the spheres of economy, business, commerce, trade unions and the academic world with an important standing in the city.
