The initiative offers an itinerary of individual and group sessions to develop projects further with tutors and sectoral experts. In addition, for a period of five months the programme offers participating projects access to a creative and collaborative workspace at the Almogàvers business incubator operated by Barcelona Activa. A jury made up of external figures and the promoting organisations will choose the most promising project from all the participants, which will receive an award of 5,000 euros.

Projects wishing to take part in this new edition should register here. Once the registration process ends, a maximum of twelve projects will be chosen, although prior to this some twenty registered projects will receive advice and guides for getting their businesses off the ground.

The selection process for this call gives priority to innovative projects in the production of shows and events through the use of technology, with at least one person devoted entirely to the project or a team working on it. Companies cannot be legally established at the point of registration. Any that are must have been operating for less than a year.

Recent editions have seen nearly 50% of participating projects constituted, such as Chiquita Room, a contemporary art space, Mai Més, a publishing company specialising in science-fiction, fantasy and terror, and Bridge 48, a club for creators of the music of the future.

The CREAmedia programme is carried out by Barcelona Activa, the Servei de Desenvolupament Empresarial (operated by the ICEC) and the Fundació Catalunya Cultura, with the collaboration of Productores Audiovisuals de Catalunya (PAC), the Fundació Carulla and the ESCAC.
