The training guarantees a practical training placement with companies, the aim being to open up labour insertion possibilities and also accredit skills when participants gain an official qualification. This is a particularly interesting opportunity for the long-term unemployed and young people.

Notable training modules include gardening, assembly of electrical equipment, welding, hairdressing, jewellery repairs, butchery, lifesaving, physical and sports animation, facilitation of children’s and young people’s recreation and thanatopraxy.

Modules also include training in English, German and French, through collaboration with the Escola Oficial d’Idiomes.

Registration is now open on the Barcelona Activa website. The various professional and training certificate courses are organised in schools and leading education centres in Barcelona.

The initiative is the result of an agreement with the Catalan Employment Service, with the participation of the Barcelona Education Consortium through leading schools in the city.
