Time Use Week returns

Time Use Week is being held from 24 to 28 October and brings together over a hundred speakers from around the world with expertise in time policies. Under the title ‘Time and (In)equalities’, this year’s event promotes the various projects headed by institutions to build a fairer, healthier, more efficient and sustainable society. The event also includes the World Meeting for Local and Regional Time Policies and events at different places around Catalonia.

The programme for Time Use Week 2022 centres on the different dimensions of time policies, such as the conceptualisation and right to time and how to make progress in this area, plus future proposals on the organisation of working time through an analysis of experiences in other countries.

The World Meeting for Local and Regional Time Policies offers an opportunity to explain and exchange real experiences in achieving balanced uses of time for everybody.

Spreading good practice

The new Catalan Right to Time Network is being presented on 27 October and aims to spread time policies all around Catalonia.

Most activities in the programme are at the Media-Tic building in Barcelona, although other activities are planned for the first time in other locations in Catalonia.

Time Use Week is organised by the Catalan association for the promotion of time policies, Barcelona Time Use Initiative for a Healthy Society (BTUI), along with the various local administrations.
