Twenty-eight study rooms open around the city during the exam period
The city’s study rooms are getting ready for the final push in the 2021-2022 academic year, with 28 facilities of this type opening up from 2 May to 22 June to provide silence and an opportunity for students to concentrate on their end-of-year exams and studies. Over the weekend of 11 and 12 June, ahead of the university entrance exams (PAU), all study rooms will be open until 11.30 pm.
In May and June, coinciding with the exam period, the study room service will be offering more facilities for silence and reading for students in Barcelona. The ten permanent study rooms will be operating longer hours over the exam period, from Monday to Thursday, until 11 or 11.30 pm:
- Vapor Vell (Sants-Montjuïc)
- Centre d’Informació i Assessorament per a Joves (CIAJ) (Ciutat Vella)
- Vila de Gràcia (Gràcia)
- Guinardó – Mercè Rodoreda (Horta-Guinardó)
- Ignasi Iglésias – Can Fabra (Sant Andreu)
- Agustí Centelles – Biblioteca Esquerra de l’Eixample
- Poblenou – Manuel Arranz (Sant Martí)
- Sant Gervasi – Joan Maragall (Sarrià – Sant Gervasi)
- Les Corts – Montserrat Abelló (Les Corts)
- Nou Barris (Nou Barris)
The service has been boosted with eighteen more spaces around all city districts. This interactive map shows the occupancy levels of study rooms in real time and by hours.
Two study rooms are also open on Sundays: the Vapor Vell, from 11 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 8 pm, and the Agustí Centelles – Esquerra de l’Eixample, from 4 pm to 8 pm.
