Barcelona’s PIADs [Women’s Support and Information Points] invite you to participate in the various free activities that they are holding to mark ‘25N’: the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women:

Ciutat Vella

  • From 4 November to 2 December: “Caterina Albert/Víctor Català” exhibition in the Sant Pau–Santa Creu Library.
  • From 8 November to 22 November: “Gender violence. Let’s dismantle some myths” exhibition. At the Palau Alòs Youth Centre.
  • 24 November: “Larger women and self-esteem” online discussion.

Eixample

  • 9 November: “Maternity and paternity rights” discussion at the Sagrada Familia Civic Centre (which will also be streamed online).
  • 16 November: “What to do and how to act when faced with gender violence” discussion, from 5 pm to 6.30 pm at the Esquerra de l’Eixample Old People’s Centre (which will also be streamed online).
  • 26 November: “Tools for managing anxiety and stress” taster session for women from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Transformadors Neighbourhood Centre.

Sants Montjuïc

  • 15 November: “What to do if I feel discriminated against for being a woman?” discussion From 6.30 pm to 8 pm at the Francesc Candel Library.
  • 22 November: “Tools for managing anxiety and stress” taster session for women from 10.15 am to 12 pm at the Sant Cristòfol Old People’s Centre.
  • 25 November: Self-care taster course for women who want to improve their relationships. From 9.30 am to 11.30 am at La Troca de Sants (Lleialtat Sansenca).

Sarrià-Sant Gervasi

  • 24 November: “What to do and how to act when faced with gender violence” discussion. From 6.30 pm to 8 pm at the Vallvidrera Vázquez Montalbán Civic Centre.
  • 29 November: Self-care taster course for women who want to improve their relationships. From 4 pm to 6 pm at the Vil·la Urània Civic Centre.

Gràcia

  • From 15 November to 30 November: “Surviving Women” exhibition at the La Fontana Youth Centre
  • 27 November: Self-care taster course for women who want to improve their relationships. From 10.30 am to 12.30 pm at the Can Carol Neighbourhood Centre.

Horta – Guinardó

  • 23 November: “What to do and how to act when faced with gender violence?” discussion From 12 pm to 1.30 pm at the La Teixonera Civic Centre.
  • 26 November: “What to do and how to act when faced with gender violence?” discussion From 5 pm to 6.30 pm at the Baix Guinardó Old People’s Centre

Nou Barris

  • From 2 November to 26 November: “Free and fearless” exhibition at the Nou Barris Library.
  • 11 November: “Crimes against sexual liberty” discussion From 7 pm to 8.30 pm at the Nou Barris Library.

Sant Andreu

  • 4 November: “Women and immigration rights” discussion From 6 pm to 7.30 pm at Ateneu L’Harmonia.
  • 8 November: Self-esteem taster course for women. From 4 pm to 6 pm at the Navas Old People’s Centre.
  • 22 November: “How to prevent gender violence in a relationship?” discussion From 4 pm to 6 pm at Espai 30 – Ateneu Santgreguenc.
  • 22 November: “Gender-based online bullying” discussion From 7 pm to 8.30 pm at the Can Portabella Neighbourhood Centre
  • 23 November: Self-care taster course for women who want to improve their relationships. From 6 pm to 8 pm at the La Palmera Old People’s Centre.
  • 25 November: “What to do if I feel discriminated against for being a woman?” discussion From 6.30 pm to 8 pm at the Sant Andreu Civic Centre.

Sant Martí

  • 11 November: “The wage gap. Differences in salary between men and women and the so-called glass ceiling” From 7 pm to 8.30 pm at the Vila Olímpica Neighbourhood Centre.
  • 17 November: “What to do if I feel discriminated against for being a woman?” discussion From 7 pm to 8.30 pm at the Parc Sandaru Civic Centre.
  • 26 November: Self-care taster course for women who want to improve their relationships. From 10 am to 12 pm at the Besos Neighbourhood Centre.
