DJ Verushka, born in Caracas and now based in Barcelona, arrives at BAM 2023 with Me Siento Extraña, a project that she co-founded. It has a musical style that takes in genres such as techno, acid, euro trance and liquid house fusing captivating vocals with deep rhythms that hypnotise listeners. 

Verushka began her career on the Barcelona punk scene as bass player with the band Sect, and has worked extensively with the Cønjuntø Vacíø label. She's also co-founder and resident DJ for the Me Siento Extraña collective.

At the Antiga Fàbrica Estrella Damm she'll be supported by Clara Cortés, a talented visual artist who seeks abstraction and the creation of unidentifiable shapes in her images. Liquid elements, especially water, have been a constant source of inspiration to her. Her work invites you to reflect on how reality can be interpreted in many different ways.

Me Siento Extraña is a space for meeting, for exploration and expression, for giving a voice to women, lesbians, bisexuals, non-binary people, trans people, dissident identities, cyborgs, etc. Their events promote diversity and celebrate the centrality of these communities.
