MARICAS invites JOVENDELAPERLA & GGT

MARICAS was founded in 2018 by Eloisa Blitzer, Gina Guasch and ISAbella. They are a group that emerged after different discussions on the lack of a venue in Barcelona where electronic music and the queer scene could be combined. Clearly inspired by the start of the techno rave community, MARICAS was founded with shared values like freedom, youth and underground culture.

The project has become an aesthetic referent, a record label (MARICXS Records), a platform and especially an active group. They have held showcases in different cities around Europe and have participated in the Whole Festival and on the platform Boiler Room. They also had a full-year residency at Crack Magazine.

With an impeccable selection of tunes and a festive atmosphere, MARICAS manages to create a safe, welcoming space for everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

It is a way of fighting for the visibility and recognition of the queer community through art and culture in this edition of the BAM Festival, with the company of the artist, poet and DJ JOVENDELAPERLA, who uses sound as a means to build fleeting realities where doubt and desire reside.
