Nedant en plàstic [Swimming in Plastic] seeks to spotlight one of today’s most worrying environmental issues, and to raise awareness of the collapse of ecosystems that plastics are causing in our oceans. The movement of a large patch of plastic waste created from hundreds of recycled bottles and the sequential lighting of 50 clusters of re-purposed Christmas lights immerses the spectator in this art installation, a play of different heights and shapes that makes for a memorable experience that sends a message of warning about our oceans.
