For Argentinian artist Santiago Terigi, the idea and presence of the body are core elements in his multidisciplinary artistic career. This is the case in Transmutar, where the body's direct action and physical energy generate changes on an element subtly modified precisely by underscoring this intervention. The proposal is simple: visitors are invited to hit a punchbag, an action that generates electronic sounds and changes the setting’s lighting. The instigator-subject and receiver-object relationship, based on the laws of physics and without any creative connotations, passes beyond this aspect, at the instigation of the artist, and becomes a tool that changes the public's sensory perceptions. Also collaborating in this project is Bridge_48, a music training and production centre established in Poblenou, a space for promoting the coming together of various creative minds, with music as the unifying feature.

Santiago Terigi was born in Buenos Aires and holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Arts from the Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero. This multimedia musician and artist manufactures and works with light installations and digital, analogue and electronic musical instruments, to compose pieces linked to the use of the body as a tool for creation through interactive technologies. His premise is dialogue between the technological and the organic. He has worked as a music producer, composer, instrument-maker and designer of lighting and interactive installations. He has presented previous projects - whether solo or as part of a collective - at the Llum BCN and Linz Ars Electronica, among other venues and festivals. He has also taken part in live-music film screening sessions with a contemporary and experimental approach.
