Strategically located at the intersection of three of Barcelona’s most important avenues (Avinguda Meridiana, Gran Via de Les Corts Catalanes and Avinguda Diagonal), the REFLƎXES project is a captivating synthesis of light art and the dynamic urban environment. This urban crossroads is the site of an impressive five-metre diameter sphere made from a highly reflective material. Inspired by the dawn and the reflections and splendour of the neighbouring Torre Glòries, this work interacts with the natural and artificial light of the city. The choice to colour the ground in warm tones enhances the perception of a transition between the surrounding landscape and its reflected projection on the surface. It is a point of convergence that sublimates the intersection of the avenues, transforming it into an ever-changing stage that captures the fleeting magic of the city of Barcelona.
