Josep M. Martí Font is a graduate in Law and Economics from Barcelona University. In 1984 he joined the staff of El País, a newspaper on which he has held many posts. 

In Madrid, he was head of society news and international news, German correspondent and head editor of Culture. And in Barcelona he was head of the Paris delegation and head of Opinion and of Culture in the Catalan edition of El País. His published works include Désirs de France (Michalon, Paris, 2007) and Star. La contracultura de los 70 (Glénat, Barcelona, 2008).
