Accessible Visits and the Estimul'Art Project. History, Art and Alzheimer’s
Companions of visitors with certified disabilities are entitled to free admission to the Museum.
All museum centers offer sign language interpretation for any activity. This service must be requested in advance by phone or email.

The Museum of History website has been developed following WCAG 2.0 accessibility guidelines, Level AA, established by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium).
ACCESSIBILITY IN THE CENTERS
Avinyó
Wheelchair accessible space, with elevator.
Bon Pastor
Wheelchair accessible space. The museum provides two extra-narrow wheelchairs due to corridors or doors that cannot accommodate standard wheelchairs.
Casa de l’Aigua
Partially accessible space, with elevator. Some areas, such as the tunnel, are not accessible.
Domus de Sant Honorat
Entrance to the reception is accessible, but access to the archaeological remains is not.
El Born
- Barrier-free space. Level access, ramps, adapted counters, doors, and restrooms facilitate physical accessibility throughout the center.
- Elevator access to the archaeological site with a wooden platform offering a partial view. Wheelchair users cannot access the full circuit for conservation reasons.
- Tactile orientation and location map at the entrance from Plaça Comercial.
- Tactile model of the building at the entrance from Carrer Comercial.
- Visitor maps available upon request from information staff.
- Accessible restrooms for people with reduced mobility (the interior rotary latch may be difficult for those with limited manual dexterity).
- Two wheelchairs available for loan.
- Accessible multimedia guides in Catalan and Spanish sign language, with audio descriptions, subtitles, and audio navigation.
- Brochures in Braille, easy reading, and large print about the archaeological site, the market’s architecture, and the exhibition Barcelona 1700. From Stones to People.
- The Sala Moragues and Auditorium have an induction loop system. Two portable induction loops are also available at the ticket counters.
- Guided tours for groups with intellectual disabilities can be arranged (advance booking required).
- Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome in all areas of the center.

Fabra i Coats
The Boiler Room is not accessible.
Oliva Artés
Wheelchair accessible space.
Park Güell
Not accessible for people with reduced mobility.
Plaça del Rei
- Wheelchairs available upon request.
- Elevators provide access to both temporary and permanent exhibitions.
- Ramps at entrances and a lift at the exit to overcome a small level change in the Saló del Tinell.
- Some objects outside display cases can be touched under the supervision of the museum guide (request in advance).
- Three accessible restrooms available.
- Guide dogs and assistance dogs are allowed.
- A small area of the underground archaeological site is not accessible by wheelchair.
Porta de Mar
Wheelchair accessible space (elevator to access the first floor).
Refugi 307
Partially accessible space with a ramp that allows small wheelchairs to enter.
Large (motorized or wide) wheelchairs cannot complete the full tour due to narrow corridors.
Santa Caterina
Fully wheelchair accessible. It is an overlook with information panels about the archaeological remains.
Temple August
Not accessible for people with reduced mobility.
Turó de la Rovira
Not accessible.
Via Sepulcral Romana
A ramp provides access to the site, but wheelchair users must be accompanied.
Vil·la Joana
Wheelchair accessible space with elevator.
