Amb Verdaguer com a amfitrió

Totes les ones de la mar
m’han envestit en so de guerra,

com a lleons sedents de presa.

roges d’enuig i lleig verí,

D’aquesta manera expressa Jacint Verdaguer l’amargor que sent quan el fan callar i el fan passar per boig; quan l’allunyen dels seus llibres i editors, li prohibeixen viure a Barcelona i fins i tot li impedeixen dir missa. En defensa pròpia, Verdaguer i la censura o Rapejant Verdaguer són dues propostes, per a adults o escolars, que ofereix el MUHBA Vil·la Joana; s’hi tracta aquest període de tant patiment de la vida del poeta i conceptes com la llibertat d’expressió, la censura o la calúmnia, malauradament de tanta actualitat.

La natura i el paisatge com a gran font d’inspiració de Verdaguer donen lloc a visites-taller per als més menuts: Què diuen els ocells? i Aquest pi és un poema. Descobrir com era la Barcelona que va trepitjar el poeta i la rellevància que ha tingut la ciutat en l’àmbit editorial és del que tracta Barcelona inspira poesia, mentre que mostrar sis punts de vista diferents de l’univers creatiu de Verdaguer o com s’ha convertit en un símbol literari universal és el que es proposen Les sis cares del poeta i Verdaguer, la veu del poble.

La ubicació del MUHBA Vil·la Joana, al bell mig de la serralada del parc de Collserola però només a vint minuts en tren de la plaça Catalunya, és un altre dels atractius d’aquest indret, que li permet programar activitats on es tracta tant la literatura i la ciutat com la literatura i l’entorn natural, com ara Plantes i animals que inspiren Verdaguer. També l’ha portat a ser la seu del primer festival Liternatura, que va tenir lloc els dies 20 i 21 d’octubre de 2018 a Vil·la Joana i va aplegar autors, editorials, traductors, professors i artistes per presentar els seus treballs en un marc incomparable, amb Verdaguer com a amfitrió.
