Jonathan Coe

Jonathan Coe will be in conversation with the writer and journalist Anna Ballbona about his latest novel, Bournville (Anagrama, 2024), a brilliant, moving and brutally funny portrait of contemporary Britain told through four generations of a Birmingham family.

Jonathan Coe is a novelist. His is the author of What a Carve up! (Viking, 1994 – John Llewellyn Rhys Prize), The Rotters’ Club (Viking, 2001), The Rain Before It Falls (Viking, 2007), The Terrible Privacy of Maxwell Sim (Viking, 2010), Expo 58 (Viking, 2013), Number 11 (Viking, 2015 – Flaiano International Award for Literature), Middle England (Viking, 2018 – European Book Prize) and Mr Wilder and Me (Viking, 2020). His latest novel is Bournville (Viking, 2022).
