Adolf Sotoca
Adolf Sotoca, the main author of the book Barcelona Besòs: Ecologies, is an architect with a PhD in urban planning. He is a researcher in the GRU (Urban Planning Research Group) and CRAL (Research and Services Center for Local Administration) groups, as well as a professor and director of the Master's in Sustainable Intervention in the Built Environment at ETSAV (UPC). Additionally, he co-directs the RUMB Chair (Metropolitan Urban Regeneration of the Besòs), where he coordinates various projects and research initiatives in this field.
With over 20 years of experience in urban planning, working with public administrations, Adolf has significantly contributed to urban restructuring projects worldwide, combining academic practice with teaching at various universities and institutions. His approach is characterized by a social, sustainable, and contextsensitive perspective.
