This itinerary will offer the chance to discover both renowned projects -and others less well-known- that have helped turn Barcelona into an international benchmark for architecture and design. It will present the history and significance of the FAD Awards for Architecture and Interior Design, which have been a key driving force in promoting high-quality design in the fields of architecture, interior design, and public space, as well as their impact on the city’s development.

  • Several people are speaking at a conference. A hand holds a booklet titled "European Conference on Architecture and Media"

How is architecture communicated beyond traditional media? What role do events, festivals, and awards play in shaping narratives about the built environment? As Barcelona prepares to become the World Capital of Architecture in 2026, it is essential to explore new communication territories that help generate content about and around architecture, beyond the usual channels.
