As part of the exhibition on the International Architecture Competition for the Montjuïc fairgrounds, this session presents the winning proposals from the first phase of the redevelopment. The event will feature the participation of Maria Buhigas, Chief Architect of the Barcelona City Council; Josep Lluís Mateo, Chair of the Jury; Albert Civit, General Director of Fira 2000; and the three winning teams:

  • The team of Smiljan Radić, Miquel Mariné, Beatriz Borque, and Cesar Rueda, responsible for the new Multifunctional Hall and the renovation of the existing Palace of Communications.
  • The team of Forgas Arquitectes, Archambac, and Álvaro Alejandro Fernández, authors of the new Alfons XIII Hall.
  • The team of Bjarke Ingels Group and MIAS Arquitectura, in charge of the Hall of Textiles.
