Maria Güell

Maria Güell’s first professional contact with lighting came through the world of performing arts. She later collaborated on various architecture projects, ephemeral light installations, and lighting for exhibitions and museums.

In 2003, she founded La Invisible Studio as a platform to produce her own work in lighting design.

She is currently the artistic director of the LLumBCN Festival. Among many other projects, notable ones include Raval KM0, leading the drafting team of the Barcelona Public Lighting Master Plan in 2012, and the architectural and museographic lighting of the Balenciaga Museum. She also has a long career in teaching, having taught at schools such as Elisava, Eina, and the UPC Foundation.
