The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) is an international centre for research, education, production and outreach, pursuing an approach to architecture that can take on the global challenges of liveability in our early 21st-century society. IAAC’s mission is to imagine the future of our society in order to make it our present.

Its main offices are in Poblenou, in the heart of Barcelona’s 22@ district, at a former ceramics factory that has been transformed into a factory of ideas and projects. This 2,200 m2 building combines an experimental and production-based approach to architecture and urban planning.
