    Park Güell’s Cada del Guarda, an example of modest housing, was built by Gaudí between 1901 and 1903 as the caretaker’s residence at what was originally supposed to be a housing development. This small space, designed for a humble family, is full of elaborate and beautiful touches. Managed by the Barcelona History Museum, it hosts the exhibition “Güell, Gaudí and Barcelona. The Expression of an Urban Ideal”, exploring three themes – the house, the park and the city – on the building’s three floors.
