Parc de la Timba - Jugatecambiental
Parc de la Timba is a green public space spanning nearly 8,000 m2 in Cervelló. The gently sloping area reaches the uneven boundary of the stream ravine and a lookout point over surrounding area, including the small town of Ordal.
The park used to be vineyards belonging to the Ca n’Esteve farm. Following the Civil War, the vineyards were turned into a small wooded area.
Work on the latest major remodelling, which gave the space its current appearance, started in August 2015 with the creation of a paved area to structure the park as a whole, adapting to its topography and incorporating a new and improved lighting system and elements of street furniture. In late 2017, the final section, essentially intended to be an open space, was completed with improved pavements, repaired railings the removal of architectural barriers, the installation of balustrades and new fencing and the laying of new gravel.
