The Advisory Council for the Promotion of the Barcelona Innovation Coast is a consultative and advisory body comprised of the city’s leading innovation stakeholders that was established to promote projects in sustainable mobility, technology, health, and renewable energy, among other areas.
Composition
Responsibilities
To advise the Barcelona City Council government on promoting and developing the Barcelona Innovation Coast project.
To promote joint studies that advance the Barcelona Innovation Coast project in collaboration with universities, schools, research institutes, companies, foundations and public and private institutions.
To propose initiatives and projects aimed at making Barcelona a leading city in innovation policies.
To drive innovative projects with the potential to develop and test a pilot plan in Barcelona in the fields of mobility, health, energy, technology, and digitalisation in collaboration with the city’s business, social, and entrepreneurial networks.
To assess the project’s progress and identify and propose improvements to ensure goals are met and initiatives implemented.
To promote discussions and expertise in the fields of mobility, health, energy, technology and digitalisation in collaboration with the city’s business, social and entrepreneurial networks while connecting academia, institutions and city residents.
